Our Adult Beginner Kayak Courses are perfect for anyone aged 18 and above eager to learn kayaking in a safe and supportive environment. Led by experienced and qualified instructors, you'll learn essential skills on the Upper Corrib.
The course includes an assessment for the Canoeing Ireland Level 2 Kayaking Certificate, and all kayaking gear (boats, paddles, helmets, buoyancy aids) is provided. Participants should be able to swim 25m. We run 8 adult courses every summer, providing ample opportunities to join.

Ready for a summer of fun and adventure on the water? Join our Junior Kayaking Summer Camps, designed for kids and teens aged 10–17 who can swim and want to learn kayaking in a fun and safe environment!
These camps consist of 4 sessions (3 hours each) led by qualified Canoeing Ireland instructors, focusing on fun games, skill-building, and local water journeys on the Upper Corrib and Galway's canals. All kayaking gear is provided, and participants can earn their Canoeing Ireland Level 1 Certificate.
