Just a wee reminder about this one, hope to see some of you there
Cheers,
ChrisgalwaykayakclubKeymasterHi, the wave in Leitirmor will be working from 2.50pm so if anyone wants to try it bring a river runner, otherwise going in or out of the currant in a seakayak will help with your skills, rescues etc,if you have a level two you should be able for this. All that said ye can still go seakayaking. Little exercise, if launching form car park Leitirmor tomorrow around 2pm intending to kayak around Leitirmor Island ,would you launch from east of bridge or west? Free lessons on wave to all right answers.
galwaykayakclubKeymasterWill call off this paddle due to lack of interest, and clash with L3 training
SineadgalwaykayakclubKeymasterWon’t make it I’m afraid but keep an eye on the water level on waterlevel.ie before you go.
From my experience it’s run-able but very scapy at 0.8m on the gauge at Kilcolgan Bridge. Much less and it gets impossible. It was at 1.01m on Friday, gone down to 0.92m today…
